‘The Littlest Hobo’ getting gritty new remake

Toronto — With reboots of successful sitcoms like Roseanne and Will and Grace coming soon to the nation’s television sets, a production company is hoping it can also teach an old dog some new tricks.

Manatee Films announced today that it plans to revive one of the most beloved Canadian television series of all time — The Littlest Hobo. In a gritty new action drama tailored for 21st-century audiences, the nomadic German Shepherd is returning to battle crime and help the needy.

“We think Canadians are going to fall in love with this crime-fighting canine all over again,” said director Hugh Manatee. “The dog actor is actually a direct descendant of London, the dog who starred in the original series.” London died in 1987 from a massive drug overdose.

Manatee Films released a trailer previewing the revitalized series, and The Manatee has exclusive access. Check it out below!
