Ask Amber

The advice columnist who has the exact problem you have, but worse.

Dear Amber,

I’m just so stressed out! Things are piling up at work, my kids have to be driven to all their sports and activities, my husband is no help, and, to top it all off, I’ve got that flu bug that’s been going around. I should be bed-ridden, but instead I’m driving my kids everywhere and working until the wee hours of the morning. I just don’t know how to manage my time any better. Help!

–Hair-Puller

Dear Hair-Puller,

OMG I know!!! Me too! I’m just soooo stuffed up. My nostrils are leaking, I’m breathing heavy — I’m a total mess! And that’s not even the worst of it! My head is all congested and I can’t hear out of my left ear. It’s driving me nuts! I always get sick this time of year. Always. And as for work? Tell me about it, sister! I’m back at school again trying to get my masters degree, so I’m swamped with papers, I just found out that 2 of my cats don’t have all their shots, and now I have this column to write! You should consider yourself lucky that you have just the one job!

Solicit Sarah

The advice columnist who responds to your question with the answer to another.

Dear Sarah,

I’ve liked this guy in my human rights class all semester, and I think that he might like me too. I just can’t stop looking at him, and I’m sure I’ve caught him looking at me, too. We were in a group project together earlier this semester and we got along really well. He’s smart, funny, attractive … the only thing is, I don’t know if he’s even into guys! Nobody I know has ever seen him with anyone, so there’s no way to tell, and I can’t just ask him a question like that! He isn’t in any of my classes next term, so I won’t have a chance with him if I don’t act soon. What should I do?

–Embarrassed

Dear Confused,

What you’ll want to do is find a HP Pavilion zt3320 laptop AC Adapter, which also doubles as a charger. You can find them at any Future Shop or Radio Shack in your area. You might find some good deals if you shop around online. I found one with a one-year warranty for under $30 on this site, but you might be able to find one cheaper somewhere else. The adapter ought to solve all of the incompatibility issues you’ve been having with your system.

Inquire Izzy

The advice columnist who is sorry, but she doesn’t quite understand what you’re trying to ask her.

Dear Izzy,

I organize the local chapter of the Milli Vanilli fan club. We’ve been running it successfully for the past 3 months, and we decided that we would all like to have T-shirts made up that we can wear to our weekly meetings. We had no trouble deciding on a design: It will have 2 X 2 + <3 on the front, and on the back it will say ‘Still waiting 4 Back and in Attack‘ under our fan-club logo. That’s all well and good, but the problem is that we can’t agree on a colour. Personally, I think that it should be white because, hello, ‘Vanilli’? However, some of the girls think that they should be red and blue, and I’m like, they didn’t wear those colours all the time! And plus, how are we going to have two colours on one T-shirt? It’d look suuuuuper dumb.

Dear Miffed,

I’m sorry, I don’t quite understand what you’re trying to ask me.

Request Rachel

The advice columnist who answers a couple days too late.

Dear Rachel

I was hoping you could give me some advice on how to prepare for a job interview. I know some of the basic things, like how to formant a CV and everything. But, I don’t know how to dress — ‘business casual’? Is ‘formal’ too much? Also, I’m not sure what kind of things a prospective employer wants to hear, and I’m really worried about it. My husband recently passed away and the kids and I are coming down to our last cent. The interview is this Monday. Please help me out!

–Unemployed

Dear Unemployed,

Dude! Sorry, I just got this! That sounds like it was really important. I hope everything went okay.
