Renforth — A tiny house community has popped up nearly overnight. In less than a week, 20 tiny houses have occupied the Kennebecasis River, just off the Renforth Wharf. Reports are coming in that several more tiny house communities have appeared in river harbours across New Brunswick. It is not yet certain whether the communities are known to each other or if their motivations are political.
Some are speculating that residents have moved to the river to avoid a hike in their property tax assessment on land.
