Grand Bay-Westfield NB Liquor to be replaced by guy selling Bud Light, Fireball from van

Saint John — Announced today, the head of NB Liquor has reversed his decision to close the store in Grand Bay-Westfield and open an agency store.

The new proposal is that Jeff from the Bay will just load up his ’98 Dodge Caravan with Bud Light and Fireball and sell it from his usual parking spot on “skid row.”

When asked about the change in direction, the CEO said the decision was based off the metrics of sales in the Bay and realized that the only two items that ever sold were Bud Light and Fireball.

“With the occasional purchase of a case of Pine, we thought it would be best to let a small independent contractor venture forward with this particular kind of targeted marketing,” he explained.

“I mean, Jeff’s van is already painted in the corporate colours so there was no expense there and since he is already a well known guy on skid row we figured…why not?”

Residents interviewed seemed all right with it, stating that, “Jeff’s always there, so the hours are going to be much better.”
