Insane Clown Party launches in Moncton

Moncton — A new provincial political party — the New Brunswick Insane Clown Party — launched Monday in the Hub City with the aim of putting Juggalos and Jugalettes at the centre of political decision-making.

“Horrorcore is all around us,” said Juggalo Jon Peterson, who claims to be a little-known original member of the Insane Clown Posse (ICP) music group formed in Detroit in the mid-1980s. “The leaders of the province need to delegate their time and resources with that in mind.”

Peterson said he fully intends to have candidates in 10 ridings by 2018, in time for the next provincial election. “Hardcore believers in hip-hop, championship wrestling, and horror will be happy to know they will finally have political rather than just musical and spiritual representation. It is my hope that, at long last, both violent and non-violent Juggalos can live in harmony in New Brunswick. Whoop, whoop!”

New Brunswick’s first Gathering of the Juggalos (GOTJ) will take place at the Moncton Coliseum on Sept. 30. Face paint, T-shirts by HatchetGear, and Faygo soda will be provided to anyone who attends the event. Executives from Psychopathic Records will be on hand to assist Peterson in signing up new Juggalos and Juggalettes.
