Miramichi man watches popular Netflix documentary, signs petition to release prisoner

Chatham — A New Brunswick man is making waves in his small town after signing a petition to have a popular figure he believes to be wrongfully imprisoned released.

“People down at Tims just couldn’t stop talkin’ about this here poor man put in jail down there. So I got myself one of those there Netflix boxes and flipped’er on over the holiday, and couldn’t believe what I was seein’ on the TV,” exclaimed Kippy Robichaud Wednesday morning while trying to fasten the left buckle of his denim overalls.

Robichaud went on to say, “Every man is titled to a fair trial by a jury of pears and there’s no way in hell Ricky got that!”

A furious Robichaud said he recently finished the fifth season of popular Canadian “mockumentary” Trailer Park Boys in which one of the main characters winds up incarcerated on a number of charges.

Soon after finishing the series and “turning off the Netflix box” Robichaud immediately went to Change.org to sign the petition of a movement he strongly believes is already underway.

“I’ll do anything I can do for this here poor sumbitch,” concluded Robichaud to The Manatee.
