Office drones rush to window, watch RCMP cruiser blaze by in all its glory

Saint John — Desk warriors at Dynacorp, a consulting firm in uptown Saint John, leapt from their faux-leather office chairs and sprinted to the window when they heard sirens blaring at 9:15 a.m. Thursday.

“It was crazy, a police car sped by really loudly, I couldn’t hear my own thinking,” enthused Brian Jessom, assistant to the VP of regional sales.

“I couldn’t get anything done for the rest of the morning; my blood was just pumping and I couldn’t sit still.”

Linda Oswald, senior administrative assistant, speculates that the noble officer of the law was involved in a high-speed chase through the foggy Port City.

“You never see them drive that fast; he had to be after a bank robber, or the mafia or something,” gushed Oswald, dialling her family to assure them she was okay after her brush with death.

At 10:00 a.m. the employees received an email from the CEO of Dynacorp, assuring them that it would be business as usual but that counselling would be available to those who need it.
