Dieppe — After commenting “LOL ROFL THAT A GOOD ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” on her great-nephew’s Facebook status, 62-year-old Della Stephenson, for the fifth time this week, obliviously began typing a reply to her own comment believing this to be sent as a private message to her dear relative.
When Brock Doiron, Stephenson’s intended addressee, opened the thread reading “HOW IS WORK…? YOU’RE GRANDFATHER SAY HE SAW U AT SUPERSTORE YESTERDAY LOL!!!! HOW IS THE DOG????????” he shook his head in embarrassment.
“I really miss the good old days when all she did was play Solitaire on her computer and ‘Google search’ the royal family on an Excel spreadsheet — Oh god, she just liked her own comment,” Doiron sadly expressed. “Also,” he continued, “I really just want her to stop replying to all my friends’ comments with those Clip Art-looking stickers. Is that too much to ask?!”
Another habit of Stephenson’s is to like any tagged photos of her great-nephew, especially those where he is extremely intoxicated in the background. Many days, the cat-loving relative will share satirical articles on Doiron’s Facebook wall, usually with a very passionate “CAN U BELEIVE THIS,” leaving him to once again attempt to explain that these stories are not to be taken seriously.
“Do you know how hard it is to explain satire to someone?” he cried.
Other than terrorizing her younger relative’s Facebook life, Stephenson’s social media hobbies include, but are not limited to, sharing the most cringe-worthy clickbait and photos with captions such as “Share if you love Jesus… Ignore if you love Satan.”
