Something happens in Edmundston

Edmundston — According to dozens of eyewitness accounts, an occurrence that was reportedly worth looking at, mildly entertaining and probably not originating from the Internet or television, took place in Edmundston on Wednesday evening. According to sources, the event occurred somewhere in the city’s downtown district, and was generally described as amusing, memorable and even slightly life-affirming.

“It was something,” said George Waters, 67, a lifelong resident of the northern New Brunswick city. “It’s been a long, long time since I saw something like that.”

According to news archives, the last day that was even remotely able to distinguish itself from another took place in the city on April 26, 1985. After this new and somewhat enjoyable experience, residents of the close-knit northern community are hoping to live long enough to get a glimpse of another such memorable event in the decades to come.
